I had originally wanted to use this for a card for my sister’s birthday but once it was completed I did not like to add anything over the image (such as happy birthday) so instead I affixed it to strong cardboard and added a stand to the back to make a picture and gave as a gift instead. This was the first time I have ever tried my hand at any type of embroidery and have only basic skills in sewing so I’m very happy and surprised by the end result :)

The design

I drew the design myself based on the image S002-Butterflies  from artsandcrafts.com that is no longer stocked.
